1. What the registry is
StoreProfiles describes independent online stores from what they publish: product feeds, policies, domain records and public reputation lists. A trust score is the result of the published formula applied to that data on the date shown. It is not a statement that a store is safe, honest or fraudulent, and it can be wrong when the underlying data is wrong or out of date. Check the store itself before you buy.
The registry sells nothing and is not a party to any purchase. Prices and stock come from the store’s feed as last read and may differ at checkout; the store’s own site is what counts.
2. Outbound links and money
Some outbound links may earn the registry a commission from the store or an affiliate network, at no cost to you. A commission never changes a score, a ranking or an audit line; nothing on the registry is for sale. The full disclosure, with what the registry earns today, is on independence and funding.
3. Reusing the data
The registry’s own data — scores, facts, audit text, research figures — is licensed under CC BY 4.0: reuse it, commercially too, with credit and a link. Product names, images, logos and descriptions belong to the stores and are not covered by that licence. The API and dataset are the intended way to take data in bulk; automated access that slows the site down for others may be blocked.
4. Store owners
- You may claim a profile only for a domain you control; the meta-tag check proves it. Claiming someone else’s store, or keeping a claim after you lose control of the domain, ends the claim.
- Claiming is free and adds a fixed 15 points, the same for every store. It changes no other part of the score and no audit line. Placement, badges and rankings cannot be bought.
- What you add — name, description, social links, your public response, program terms — must be accurate and lawful, and must not contain other people’s personal data. You allow the registry to publish it on your profile and in the API for as long as it stays there. Content that breaks these terms can be removed, with reasons given.
- Program terms you publish (commission, cookie window, program link) are your offer to creators. The registry is not a party to any agreement between you and a creator and does not collect or pay commissions on your behalf; payment runs through your own program or network.
- Joining creators’ emails, traffic types and audience sizes are shared with you to run your program. Use them only for that, and delete them when a creator asks.
Removing a store
The verified owner of a store can have its profile removed. Claim the profile, then email [email protected] from the address you claimed with, giving the profile address. Within 30 days — usually within a week — the profile and its sub-pages stop being served, leave the sitemap and the registry’s search, and are no longer offered through the API. The domain is kept on an internal list so the store is not added back automatically; it returns only if you ask. Copies already downloaded by others under the CC BY licence cannot be recalled.
5. Creators and partners
- Joining a store’s waitlist is an expression of interest, not a contract with the registry or the store, and it does not guarantee acceptance or earnings.
- Your email, traffic type and audience size go to the store’s verified owner. When the store activates a program, links are issued in queue order; the store decides whom it accepts.
- Commission terms and payment are between you and the store or its network. You are responsible for disclosing your affiliate relationships as the law requires (in the US, the FTC Endorsement Guides, 16 CFR Part 255) and for following the store’s program rules.
6. Not allowed
- Posing as a store’s owner, or claiming a domain you do not control.
- Sending false fact reports or trying to move a score by any means other than the store’s own data.
- Automated access that degrades the site for others.
- Publishing unlawful content, or other people’s personal data, in owner fields.
Notices about copyright, trademarks or illegal content follow this procedure.
7. Liability
The registry is provided free of charge and as it is, and it may change or stop. To the extent the law allows, MonacoWebPix is not liable for decisions made on the basis of registry data, for what stores or creators do, or for indirect losses, and its total liability is limited to €100. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or gross negligence, or any right a consumer has under mandatory law.
8. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of the Principality of Monaco, and the courts of Monaco have jurisdiction. Consumers in the EU and the UK keep the protection of the mandatory law of their country and may bring proceedings where they live. Please write to [email protected] first; most disagreements are a fact that can be checked and corrected.
9. Changes
Changes are dated at the top of this page. A change that adds obligations for store owners or creators is published here 30 days before it applies.
